Pack activities

All the dens in the pack come together once a month for a pack meeting. These meetings are typically the second Wednesday of each month from 7-8PM at UMES in Clifton, VA.

Pack 1859 maintains an active calendar, camping twice a year in places like the Westmoreland State Park, and aboard the U.S.S. Torsk.  Additional pack activities include:

  • Fall and Spring Family Campouts

  • Pinewood Derby

  • Bake-Off

  • Raingutter Regatta

  • Summer Camps

  • Veteran Care Packages

  • Community Neighborhood Clean-Up

  • Scouting for Food

  • Blue & Gold Banquet

  • Attend Sporting Events

den activities

Cub Scouts are assigned to dens usually based on age/grade level: Lion Scouts (kindergarten), Tiger Scouts (first grade), Wolf Scouts (second grade), Bear Scouts (third grade), and Webelos Scouts (fourth and fifth grades).

During den meetings, cub scouts make new friends, participate in outdoor adventures, play purposeful games, and learn new things.  Dens usually meet two times a month and these meetings are scheduled by each den leader.
